MISSION

We believe that the community has a responsibility to treat animals humanely. Our goal is to provide humane education; promote animal welfare legislation; advocate and facilitate pet sterilization; and rescue, shelter, and promote the adoption of abandoned animals.

DOG LICENSING

The City of Starkville requires that all dogs kept in city limits be licensed each year. OCHS processes licenses and uses the proceeds for humane education and spay/neuter. Click here to download the licensing form.

NEED HELP FIXING YOUR PET?

OCHS has launched a low-cost spay/neuter program to help families that otherwise might not be able to afford the surgery for their pets.  Click here for program information.
