Become a Foster Parent!
You can help make a difference in the life of an animal. OCHS is looking for volunteers to open their homes to an animal and help increase their chance of adoption. You can give that animal what it needs most: time to find a forever home. There are foster opportunities on a short-term basis (2 – 3 weeks) to long-term (up to several months).
Foster families are needed for the following situations:
Fosters are needed for dogs that have been chosen to be transported to be adopted through one of our partner shelters (2 – 3 weeks).
Fosters are needed to help care for pregnant and nursing dogs and cats, special care animals that are recovering from an illness or injury, or older dogs and cats that need a little extra attention (2 weeks – indefinite).
